Saturday, 26th September: Welcome aboard! An early start for travelling companions joining between Maryborough and Caloundra. Interstate, Brisbane and Gold Coast passengers join in Brisbane City (location to be advised). Travel to Toowoomba for a tour of the Carnival of Flowers winning gardens. Enjoy an afternoon tea break and tour at Glengallan Homestead before arriving at our overnight accommodation. Stay Coachman’s Inn
DAY 2 WARWICK – TAMWORTH BMLD
Sunday, 27th September: Southward this morning crossing the Qld/NSW border to visit the Australian Standing Stones at Glen Innes. After a delicious morning tea in the peaceful surrounds, continue our journey to Uralla for lunch followed by a visit to McCrossin’s Mill. Occupying the ground floor, a series of nine paintings by artist Phillip Pomeroy depict the fatal events of 25th May 1870, when Constable Alexander Walker brought an end to the reign of gentleman bushranger, Captain Thunderbolt. DAY 3 TAMWORTH – BOWRAL BMLD
Monday, 28th September: Pass through Scone to Muswellbrook where we stop to visit the Hunter Belle Cheese for a cheese tasting. Hunter Belle Cheese is the only cheese producer in Australia exclusively using Brown Swiss cows’ milk, a dairy breed developed in the Swiss Alps that was used specifically for cheese making. DAY 4 BOWRAL – CANBERRA BD
Tuesday, 29th September: A delightful day of sightseeing today beginning with the beautiful Corbett Gardens awash with blooms for Bowral’s Tulip Time Festival. Next, the ever-popular International Cricket Hall of Fame for an exciting and educational visit learning all about the game of cricket. Continue our journey toward our Nation’s Capital, Canberra. Visit the miniature garden villages of Cockington Green before settling into our accommodation. Three night stay Mercure Canberra
DAY 5 CANBERRA FLORIADE BD
Wednesday, 30th September: Start our day with a drive-by tour of Canberra’s embassies and High Commissions before a guided tour of Parliament House. Next, the chief attraction of our day – Canberra Floriade. The massive springtime displays at Commonwealth Park provide an unrivalled spectacle of fragrance and colour. Finish our day with a visit to the Australian War Memorial featuring many emotion stirring displays and tributes. Time to watch the closing ceremony before returning to our accommodation.
DAY 6 CANBERRA SIGHTSEEING BMD
Thursday, 1st October: Another great day as we visit the Royal Australian Mint. Watch Australian coins being made and see one of the world’s strongest robots hard at work. In the Coin Shop you can also make your own coin on the visitor press. Next, enjoy a guided tour of the Museum of Australian Democracy (Old Parliament House), and some free time to explore the beautiful gardens, then off to the National Museum before ascending Black Mountain to the Telstra Tower for a 360° view of Canberra. It’s now time to enjoy a visit to Tulip Top Gardens, a private garden which is only open to the public at Floriade time. Return to our motel for a well-earned rest.
DAY 7 CANBERRA – KATOOMBA BLD
Friday, 2nd October: Farewelling Canberra we make our way to Goulburn for a guided town tour before a scenic drive through Taralga to Oberon where we pause for a picnic lunch. At Blackheath take in the iconic Blue Mountain views from Govetts Leap Lookout then on to Katoomba’s Three Sisters Lookout before settling in to our accommodation. Two night stay Skyrider Motor Inn
DAY 8 LEURA GARDEN FESTIVAL BMLD
Saturday, 3rd October: This morning enjoy the Leura Garden Festival. View magnificent springtime displays of cool climate exotics such as rhododendrons, camellias, azaleas, hellebores and many more. Many of the garden owners are on hand to meet Festival visitors and offer practical advice and gardening tips. Enjoy morning tea at Everglade Gardens before exploring the beautiful gardens. Next, head to the Leura Golf Club for lunch. After lunch choose from a variety of activities at Scenic World before returning to our accommodation for a rest before dinner.
DAY 9 KATOOMBA – COFFS HARBOUR BMLD
Sunday, 4th October: This morning travel the Western Highway via Penrith to Karuah for a lunch break then continue past Bulahdelah. Bypass Port Macquarie and Kempsey before we arrive at our overnight accommodation at Coffs Harbour. Stay Opal Cove Resort

Monday, 5th October: After nine days filled with a variety of marvellous highlights and springtime sightseeing, enjoy the last day of our holiday with a leisurely drive through Ballina to the Gold Coast where passengers depart as requested. Passengers north en route to Hervey Bay stay on board the coach.
