DAY 1 BRISBANE – 1770 MLD
Friday, 7th June: Departing Brisbane, travel north picking up passengers en-route. Stop in Bundaberg for lunch before making our way to the town of 1770 for a tasting at the 1770 Distillery. Next, a short walk on the Butterfly Walk where we hope to get a glimpse of the hundreds of thousands of Blue Tiger butterflies that migrate to 1770 each Autumn and Winter! DAY 2 LARCING ABOUT BMLD
Saturday, 8th June: You will love the full day tour on the fabulous LARC, a cross between a 4WD bus and a boat! The journey takes us across tidal creeks, along Eurimbula National Park to historic Bustard Head Lightstation for some of the most spectacular panoramic views in Australia.
DAY 3 1770 – YEPPOON BMLD
Sunday, 9th June: Farewelling 1770, travel north to Gladstone where your coach captain will take you on a sightseeing tour of the town. Then, board the Curtis Island Ferry for a Port of Gladstone Harbour Cruise before lunch at the Gladstone Hotel. Continue on to Yeppoon, settle into our accommodation and prepare for our special evening of entertainment at the Footlights Theatre Restaurant. Stay Coast Motel
DAY 4 YEPPOON – AIRLIE BEACH BMLD
Monday, 10th June: This morning, be amazed by the spectacular Capricorn Caves. Enjoy a guided tour of this unique system of above-ground caves in a limestone ridge. Continue on to Airlie Beach. Two night stay Colonial Palms Motor Inn
DAY 5 WHITSUNDAY CRUISIN’ BMLD
Tuesday, 11th June: A memorable day ahead as we cruise through the Maritime National Park on our Twin Island cruise. Take a guided walk at the famous Whitehaven Beach. After some leisure time at the beach, continue to Hamilton Island for lunch at Hamilton Island Yacht Club & the luxurious Marina. After lunch, enjoy a fully escorted walking tour of Hamilton Island’s famous Front Street exploring some of the boutique stores. Next, take the complimentary shuttle up to One Tree Hill lookout for another stunning vista & a magnificent photo opportunity looking over Catseye Beach & Passage Peak, which is the highest point on Hamilton Island. The rest of the afternoon is at your leisure with arrival back in Airlie Beach at 6.10 pm.
DAY 6 AIRLIE BEACH – TOWNSVILLE BMLD
Wednesday, 12th June: Bid farewell to the Whitsundays as we retrace our steps to Proserpine to Whitsunday Crocodile Safari. Cruise around in pristine crocodile country as well as tour through freshwater wetland habitat. Relax and enjoy a scrumptious BBQ and seafood lunch. Mid-afternoon make our way to Townsville. DAY 7 MAGNETIC ISLAND BD
Thursday, 13th June: All aboard for transfer to Magnetic Island. On arrival sit back and admire the sights as we take a guided tour of the island. At Horseshoe Bay, free time is allowed for you to purchase your lunch before the return journey to the mainland. This afternoon, experience the Great Barrier Reef without getting wet at the World’s largest living coral reef aquarium, Reef HQ.
DAY 8 TOWNSVILLE – CHARTERS TOWERS BMD
Friday, 14th June: Turning inland today, we head to Charters Towers for a truly unique experience with a Texas Longhorn Wagon Tour at Leahton Park. Return to Charters Towers in time for you to purchase your lunch and explore the many historic buildings before our guided tour of the Venus Gold Battery. DAY 9 CHARTERS TOWERS – EMERALD BMLD
Saturday, 15th June: Heading south make our way to Belyando Crossing for morning tea then, continue on to Capella Pioneer Village for a home cooked meal and tour. Next, an underground sapphire mine tour and a little fossicking at the Miners Heritage Walk-In Mine. Stay Emerald Maraboon Motor Inn
DAY 10 EMERALD – ROMA BMLD
