DAY 1  ADELAIDE FREE DAY      BD

Thursday, 20th August: Passengers fly to Adelaide this afternoon. Airport transfer has been arranged. Enjoy a welcome dinner tonight with your fellow passengers. Stay Adelaide Inn      

DAY 2  ADELAIDE – BAROSSA VALLEY – PROUD MARY      BLD

Friday, 21st August: A fabulous day of exploring the Adelaide Hills and Barossa Valley today. See how quality wooden toys are made in Gumeracha’s working Toy Factory and of course there is the world’s biggest Rocking Horse. Onward to the National Motor Museum to view Australia’s biggest Motoring Collection. Each piece holds a special story. Time to move on to the historic Herbig Tree estimated to be between 300 – 500 years old. This hollow tree trunk provided a ‘home’ for Friedrich and Caroline Herbig and two of their 16 children at Springton until 1860 ! Enjoy lunch amongst picturesque Barossa vineyards at the South Australian Company Store. At Saltram Wine Estate enjoy tasting some of the most proclaimed wines made in Australia. Late afternoon, our final visit is to the Whispering Wall which offers great views of the Barossa Reservoir. Leaving the Barossa Valley head to Murray Bridge where we have some free time at the Community Club whilst we wait to board the Proud Mary. Settle into your cabin before a delicious late buffet supper. Later, the Proud Mary moors amid the peace and tranquility of Sunnyside. Two night stay Proud Mary

DAY 3  PROUD MARY SIGHTSEEING      BMLD

Saturday, 22nd August: Breakfast heartily whilst cruising upstream through some of the most spectacular scenery on the entire Murray River system. Late morning stop in the historic town of Mannum. After a delicious lunch on board arrive at Teal Flat. A highlight of the journey is a guided cruise led by an ecologist aboard a small boat through the lagoons and inlets of this sanctuary. This evening enjoy a traditional Australian BBQ on shore followed by live Aussie Bush entertainment around a blazing campfire.

DAY 4  PROUD MARY SIGHTSEEING      BLD 

Sunday, 23rd August: Heading downstream arrive mid-morning in picturesque Mannum. Here, board the waiting coach for a tour of the Reedy Creek Environmental Park. Lunch is a superb buffet with fresh local produce as the Proud Mary cruises downstream. This afternoon there will be more spectacular scenery before disembarking in Murray Bridge. Stay Mannum Motel    

DAY 5  MANNUM – MILDURA      BD

visit to the Mannum Dock Museum then on to the Monarto Zoo, the largest open range zoo in the world. After lunch continue onto Mildura. Stay Commodore Mildura    

DAY 6  MILDURA – GRIFFITH      BLD

Tuesday, 25th August: Travel the Sturt Highway to the Balranald Discovery Centre then on to Hay for lunch and free time at Shear Outback. Stay Kidman Wayside Inn    

DAY 7  GRIFFITH – DUBBO      BMLD

Wednesday, 26th August: Travel east and join the Newell Highway for morning tea at West Wyalong, then on to Parkes Observatory Visitors Centre. Explore the astronomy and space science exhibition and discover the universe in the 3D theatre. After lunch, continue on to Dubbo for some free time in town before settling in to our accommodation. Stay Golden West Motor Inn    

DAY 8  DUBBO – GOONDIWINDI      BMLD

Thursday, 27th August: This morning enjoy a delicious morning tea and pottery making demonstration at Pilliga Pottery before heading to Narrabri for lunch at the RSL. After lunch, continue north to Goondiwindi where we take a break at the Gunsynd Statue and River Park. Stay Jolly Swagman Motor Inn    

DAY 9  GOONDIWINDI – HOME      BM

Friday, 28th August: All too soon we head home with a lunch stop in Toowoomba before arrival in Brisbane mid-afternoon and Wide Bay early evening.
