Brisbane and Gold Coast passengers join at Brisbane Coach Terminal. Stop in Toowoomba for lunch at Picnic Point Café before continuing westward passing through the agriculturally rich area of the Darling Downs, arriving in Roma to settle into our accommodation. Three night stay Roma Explorers Inn.</p>
<p><br /><span style="color: #800080;">DAY 2 ROMA EASTER FESTIVAL</span> BD<br />Saturday, 3rd April: Some free time today to engage in the many activities on the program. Your coach captain will transfer you to the Country Markets. Enjoy the live music, the Anglican Church morning tea and tour, Car Displays and the Street Parade. The afternoon promises some lively entertainment with the Mud Derby, Easter Races, Open Gardens, Art Exhibition, Drag Racing and Speedway.</p>
<p><br /><strong><span style="color: #800080;">DAY 3 ROMA EASTER FESTIVAL</span></strong> <span style="color: #339966;">BD</span><br />Sunday, 4th April: Happy Easter! Enjoy the fun and family entertainment at Basset Park. Highlights include Country Markets, Bush Poets Breakfast, Billy Cart Rides, Wife Carrying Competition, Goat Races, the Drag Racing Finals, Open Gardens, and Art Exhibition. This afternoon get ready for the excitement at the XXXX Gold Easter Rodeo starting at 1pm and followed by the highlight of the day, the Sunday concert. Join Lee Kernaghan along with the Wolfe Brothers in what will be a country music extravaganza.</p>
<p><br /><strong><span style="color: #800080;">DAY 4 ROMA – EMERALD</span></strong> <span style="color: #339966;">BMLD</span><br />Monday, 5th April: Farewelling Roma, head north along the Carnarvon Development Road to Injune where we pause for morning tea and take some time to browse the Information Centre and Art Gallery. Travel to Springsure for a picnic lunch followed by a visit to Old Rainworth Fort which was built in 1862 as protection against aboriginal attack after a massacre at Cullin-La-Ringo Station the year before. The fort, built of basalt blocks and corrugated iron, was fireproof and very nearly impregnable. It is a rare and unusual part of Queensland’s heritage. Continue our journey to Emerald taking a detour to view Fairbairn Dam. The primary function of the dam is to store water for irrigation and urban use, however, it is also a DIWA (Directory of Important Wetlands of Australia) nationally important wetland with an estimated 194 bird species. Two night stay Emerald Maraboon Motor Inn.</p>
<p><br /><strong><span style="color: #800080;">DAY 5 THE GEMFIELDS</span></strong> <span style="color: #339966;">BMLD</span><br />Tuesday, 6th April: Off to the Gemfields this morning to see what we can find! Our first visit is to the Miner’s Heritage Walk-In Mine where we enjoy a cuppa, followed by an underground sapphire mine tour. After the tour, spend time fossicking for your own gems and browse the range of beautiful Australian Sapphire Jewellery in the showroom. Next, off to the New Royal Hotel Rubyvale for lunch and a nice cold drink. Enjoy a chat with the locals and maybe hear a tall story or two. After lunch, take a wander across the road to the Rubyvale Gem Gallery where you will be welcomed with a short video, a gem cutting demonstration and a chance to browse the range of unique sapphire jewellery designed and made on the premises. Return to Emerald to visit the Central Highlands Visitors Information Centre and the Big Easel before making our way to our accommodation.</p>
<p><br /><strong><span style="color: #800080;">DAY 6 EMERALD – ROCKHAMPTON</span></strong> <span style="color: #339966;">BLD</span><br />Wednesday, 7th April: This morning, travel the Capricorn Highway to the Blackwater Australian Coal Mining Museum followed by morning tea at the Japanese Gardens. Continue our journey to Rockhampton for lunch at the Parkhurst Tavern, then be amazed by the spectacular Capricorn Caves as you enjoy a guided tour of this unique system of above-ground caves in a limestone ridge. Stay Kortes Resort.</p>
<p><br /><strong><span style="color: #800080;">DAY 7 ROCKHAMPTON – HOME</span></strong> <span style="color: #339966;">BM</span><br />Thursday, 8th April: All too soon our delightful Easter break has come to an end. Travel south to Miriam Vale where we pause for our last morning tea together. Continue down the Bruce Highway to Childers for lunch (own expense) then stopping in Maryborough we say goodbye to our Wide Bay passengers before continuing to Brisbane.</p>

<p><br /><strong><span style="color: #800080;">DAY 2 GREAT KEPPEL ISLAND <span style="color: #339966;">BMLD</span></span></strong><br />Tuesday, 20th April: After a relaxing breakfast we make our way to Rosslyn Bay for our Coral Lunch Cruise aboard Freedom Fast Cat Ferry. Following a half hour journey to GREAT KEPPEL ISLAND, you will be served morning tea, followed by a 1 hour tour in a glass bottom boat over the Reef before returning to the ferry for lunch. After lunch explore the island village, browse Tropical Vibes Souvenir Shop, go for a dip or simply relax on Keppel’s pristine white beaches before returning home at 2.30pm. Make our way back to the resort to rest up for our special night or for some free time by the pool. Tonight a very special evening of entertainment at the FOOTLIGHTS THEATRE RESTAURANT.</p>
<p><br /><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 3 ROCKHAMPTON SIGHTSEEING<span style="color: #339966;"> BLD</span></strong></span><br />Wednesday, 21st April: This morning we make our way to Rockhampton to meet the animals at the ZOO, then take a relaxing walk around the heritage listed ROCKHAMPTON BOTANIC GARDENS. After lunch at the Parkhurst Tavern, make our way to the DREAMTIME CULTURAL CENTRE. Explore the stunning displays, learn about the various uses plant life provided for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their culture before returning to our accommodation.</p>
<p><br /><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 4 CAPRICORN CAVES <span style="color: #339966;">BLD</span></strong></span><br />Thursday, 22nd April: Start our morning with a visit to the ROCKHAMPTON ART GALLERY. The gallery’s collection is regarded as one of the finest in regional Australia and is of national significance. Next, be amazed by the spectacular CAPRICORN CAVES. Enjoy a guided tour of this unique system of above ground caves in a limestone ridge.</p>
<p><br /><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 5 YEPPOON ATTRACTIONS <span style="color: #339966;">BMLD</span></strong></span><br />Friday, 23rd April: Take a walk along the ANZAC MEMORIAL WALK as it meanders around the coast, offering fantastic views of the area. Incorporated in the walk is THE GATEHOUSE, a moving floor-to-ceiling First World War storyboards including portraits of locals. Wander past silhouettes and Battle Markers towards a stunning coastal lookout that ends at the Singing Ship. Set against a spectacular coastal vista of blue seas and Great Keppel Island in the distance, the SINGING SHIP is a majestic monument that commemorates the area’s legacy of the historical explorations of Captain James Cook. Next, make our way to KOORANA CROCODILE FARM for lunch and a tour which includes an introductory talk, a video on croc behaviour and a farm walk and croc feeding. Return to our accommodation.</p>
<p><br /><strong><span style="color: #800080;">DAY 6 YEPPOON SIGHTSEEING <span style="color: #339966;">BMLD</span></span></strong><br />Saturday, 24th April: This morning browse the Yeppoon Community Markets with its huge variety of products then, it’s off to NOB CREEK POTTERY for a delicious Devonshire morning tea and a pottery making demonstration. Returning to Yeppoon, enjoy lunch at the KEPPEL BAY SAILING CLUB before visiting SHELL WORLD with its display of over 20,000 shells which include marine, land and fossil molluscs. Next, enjoy time at YEPPOON LAGOON, the jewel in the crown of the Yeppoon foreshore precinct before returning to our accommodation.</p>

With Wide Bay passengers on board make our way to Brisbane picking up passengers enroute. Interstate, Brisbane and Gold Coast passengers join at Brisbane Coach Terminal. Travel through the beautiful Scenic Rim over Cunningham’s Gap to Warwick where we pause for lunch. Continue south to Glen Innes. Here we stop to explore the Australian Standing Stones, a national monument to Celtic people, past and present. At Armidale settle into our overnight accommodation. <p><br><strong><span style="color: #800080;">DAY 3 DUBBO – ALBURY</span></strong> <span style="color: #339966;">BMLD</span><br>Friday, 30th April: Enjoy a fun-filled morning as we make our way along the scenic Banjo Paterson Way to view the imaginative sculptures on the ‘Animals on Bikes Sculpture Trail’. Inspired by the residents of Cumnock in Central West NSW, ‘Animals on Bikes’ is a series of 45 creative sculptures created by local farmers, farmers&#8217; wives, Men’s Sheds, bus drivers, preschool kids, playgroup mums &#8211; and anyone with an artistic flair! Arrive in Molong for morning tea, then on to the beautiful Cowra Japanese Gardens for lunch and time to soak up the peaceful atmosphere of this special place. Leaving Cowra, make our way to Gundagai for a photo stop at the ‘Dog on the Tuckerbox’, then on to Albury. Three night stay Quality Resort Siesta.</p>
<p><br><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 4 BRIGHT AUTUMN FESTIVAL</strong></span> <span style="color: #339966;">BD</span><br>Saturday, 1st May: This morning head for Bright and the Autumn Festival. Capture some of the magic of the Kiewa Valley during our pleasant morning tour through Dederang and Tawonga. Time for a quick visit to the township of Mount Beauty, then up and over the mountain pass. Admire the view from Mt Bogong Lookout before ascending into Bright. The town will be adorned with golden autumn leaves and buzzing with excitement. Free time in the main street of Bright which has been converted into a market. Absorb the atmosphere and get a bit of lunch before the Grand Parade starts. Our big day in Bright must come to an end as we reboard our coach for a scenic tour via Myrtleford back to our accommodation.</p>

Explore the Glenrowan Train Station, the site of Ned Kelly’s last stand before a visit to the Glenrowan Tourist Centre. Relive the Kelly Gang’s Stand through the brilliance of animatronics. Some free time in Benalla to purchase your lunch, then enjoy a sightseeing drive around Benalla’s stunning wall art, created by very talented homegrown and international artists. Finish our day with a drive to Goorambat to view the spectacularly painted silos before returning to our accommodation.</p>
<p><br><strong><span style="color: #800080;">DAY 6 ALBURY – SWAN HILL</span></strong> <span style="color: #339966;">BMLD</span><br>Monday, 3rd May: Farewelling Albury, travel the Riverina Highway to Deniliquin. Visit the Peppin Heritage Centre with its excellent displays and stories of the families who introduced the Merino sheep to the area. Onward to Swan Hill for some time at the Pioneer Settlement, Australia’s first open-air museum, portraying life on the Murray. Tonight, after a delicious dinner get ready for the award-winning Laser Light Spectacular set on the banks of the mighty Murray River. ‘Heartbeat of the Murray’ uses water, light, laser, sound and special effects to transport you back in time 30 million years to tell you the story of the Murray. Moving forward in time the formation of the land, its people and their stories come to life in this state-of-the-art show. Stay Swan Hill Resort.</p>

Have those cameras ready as we cruise from town to town and witness this innovative art project that sees renowned street artists from Australia and across the globe transform wheat silos into giant works of art. <p><br><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 8 HALLS GAP – SKENES CREEK</strong></span> <span style="color: #339966;">BMD</span><br>Wednesday, 5th May: Another day of scenic splendour as we explore the Grampian NP and the magnificent Great Ocean Road. Starting with an easy walk to the MacKenzie Falls Lookout for a spectacular view of the falls, then on to Boroka Lookout which provides more picturesque views. Onward to Warrnambool for lunch (own expense) before our exciting afternoon drive along some of the most spectacular coastal scenery in the world. As we explore the ‘Shipwreck Coast’ heading east along the Great Ocean Road, see the Bay of Islands, London Bridge and the Arch before arriving in Port Campbell where we visit the Twelve Apostles and the Visitors Centre. Here the story of wool is brought to life – told by those who lived it and through the sights and the sounds of heritage machines weaving carpets and knitting socks. The museum is more than just wool. Here history, science, fashion, handcraft and art come together. Next, enjoy a delicious lunch followed by a brewery tour and beer tasting at Little Creatures Brewery before heading to Ballarat. Two night stay Bell Tower Inn.</p>
<p><br><strong><span style="color: #800080;">DAY 10 BALLARAT EXPLORING</span></strong><span style="color: #339966;"> BMD</span><br>Friday, 7th May: Start our day with a visit to the Ballarat Botanical Gardens located on the western shore of the picturesque Lake Wendouree. Covering 40 hectares and divided into four distinct zones, the gardens are one of Australia’s most significant cool climate gardens. Next, time to explore Sovereign Hill, an open-air museum town which depicts Ballarat’s first ten years after the discovery of gold in 1851. Then, make our way to the Ballarat Wildlife Park which specialises in native Australian animals and a wide variety of exotic reptiles. After a big day, we return to our motel.</p>
<p><br><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 11 BALLARAT – ECHUCA</strong></span> <span style="color: #339966;">BMLD</span><br>Saturday, 8th May: Leaving Ballarat, head north to Bendigo to the Bendigo Pottery Interpretive Museum for morning tea and a demonstration by their skilled potters. Bendigo Pottery is Australia’s oldest working pottery operating continuously since 1858. On to Echuca to board the elegant Paddlesteamer Emmylou, cruise along banks filled with swaying red gum trees, and enjoy a delicious lunch and intriguing commentary about the area’s history. <p><br /><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 4 LIGHTNING RIDGE SIGHTSEEING</strong></span> <span style="color: #339966;">BD</span><br />Wednesday, 26th May: This morning enjoy a guided tour of the opal mine known as the CHAMBERS OF THE BLACK HAND – a national treasure in the making. 11.2 metres underground, in a 100 year old mine, subterranean tunnels open into vast chambers. Walls are decorated with the hand carvings of artist Ron Canlin, the owner of this uniquely Australian attraction. Next, a guided tour of Lightning Ridge before visiting BEVAN’S CACTUS NURSERY. Said to be the largest display of old and rare cacti in the southern Hemisphere, this cacti garden is a labour of love and well worth a look! This afternoon is yours to explore the attractions of Lightning Ridge or do some opal shopping.</p>
<p><br /><strong><span style="color: #800080;">DAY 5 LIGHTNING RIDGE – ST GEORGE</span></strong> <span style="color: #339966;">BLD</span><br />Thursday, 27th May: Leaving Lightning Ridge we head out along the Castlereagh Highway passing by the Hebel Hotel, originally opened in 1894 as a Cobb &amp; Co. Changing Station, then through Dirranbandi and Thallon to NINDIGULLY for a stop at Queensland’s oldest hotel, still in its original condition and position on the banks of the Moonie River. Built in 1864 the pub was also a Cobb &amp; Co Changing Station. Continue on to St George for lunch, a tour and tasting at RIVERSANDS WINERY followed by a visit to the UNIQUE EGG. These amazing World Class hand carved, illuminated emu eggs were handcrafted by Steve Margaritis over a period of 40 years. When the lights turn off and the LED lights shine through the emu shells – for a moment – you can catch a glimpse into Steve’s mind and what he imagines. Stay Merino Motor Inn.</p>

After a delicious lunch, it’s off to LAWDOGS AUSTRALIA for a ‘Dog Show with Bite’, a Law Enforcement dog training and demonstration experience including protection, detection and agility dogs. Lawdogs Australia is Australia’s first privately owned training kennel open to the public to see puppies and adult dogs going through the law enforcement training. Stay Coachman’s Inn.</p>

Thargomindah was the first town in Australia and third in the World to produce hydro-electric power for street lighting by using the water pressure from the Artesian Basin. Next, head to Yowah for some free time to purchase lunch and explore the town. Known for its boulder opal and ironstone matrix opal (Yowah Nuts), the town is a ‘Living Gallery’ with the story of opal everywhere you turn. Continue on to Cunnamulla. Stay Warrego Hotel Motel.</p>

<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 4 TIBOOBURRA SIGHTSEEING  </strong><span style="color: #339966;">BMLD</span></span><br />Tuesday, 6th July: Today is steeped in the history of the inland explorers who braved isolated and arid country to ‘open up’ these forbidding lands. At the ghost town of Milparinka discover a wealth of history dating back to the 1800’s when gold was first discovered. At Depot Glen see where Sturt was ‘holed up’ for six months under horrific condtions during his 1844 expedition to locate the supposed inland sea.</p>
<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 5  TIBOOBURRA &#8211; INNAMINCKA  </strong><span style="color: #339966;">BMLD</span></span><br />Wednesday, 7th July: Today travel through the Sturt National Park and enjoy morning tea at Cameron Corner, where the borders of QLD, NSW and SA meet. Crossing red dunes to Merty Merty encounter the famous Strzelecki Track, first pioneered by cattle duffer Harry Redford. Two nights stay Innamincka Hotel.</p>
<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 6 INNAMINCKA SIGHTSEEING</strong></span> <span style="color: #339966;">BMLD</span><br />Thursday, 8th July: Due to its reliable water source Innamincka once played a major role in the early explorations of Australia’s unknown interior. Today the town services the ever busy tourist industry and local pastoralists. Visit the “Dig Tree” where explorers Burke and Wills tragically perished after returning from their expedition to the Gulf of Carpentaria in 1860. Pause and reflect on the tragedy played out under the tree before returning to the hotel for lunch and a free afternoon.</p>
<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 7 INNAMINCKA &#8211; MARREE  </strong><span style="color: #339966;">BLD</span></span><br />Friday, 9th July: Travel the Strzelecki Track to Montecollina Bore where we pause for an early lunch, then continue on to Lyndhurst for a visit to Talc Alf and his amazing sculptures. Continue on to Marree, located close to the southern end of Lake Eyre, which is the terminal point of a great continental drainage system and is considered one of Australia’s most famous natural landmarks. <p><br /><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 8  MARREE &amp; LAKE EYRE SIGHTSEEING  </strong><span style="color: #339966;">BLD</span></span><br />Saturday, 10th July: For a truly spectacular outback experience flights may be undertaken (own expense) for those passengers who wish to see Lake Eyre, the Marree Man and the Painted Hills from the air. This provides a wonderful view of the area from a new perspective. Later, tour Marree and travel the Oodnadatta Track to the salt encrusted shores of Lake Eyre South for dramatic views.</p>

<p><strong><span style="color: #800080;">DAY 10 4WD RIDGE TOP TOUR</span></strong> <span style="color: #339966;">BMLD</span><br />Monday, 12th July: This morning experience Australia’s most breathtaking scenic drive in specially outfitted 4WD vehicles. The Ridge Top Road runs along razorback cliffs commanding views rarely available to the normal tourist. Our spectacular ascent up the serrated ridge tops culminates in triumph on isolated Sillers Lookout. This afternoon enjoy some free time.</p>

Search for Yellow Footed Rock Wallabies and enjoy sweeping views of Bunyeroo Valley and the eastern wall of Wilpena Pound. The afternoon is yours to undertake your own pursuits.</p>

Brisbane and Gold Coast passengers join at Brisbane Coach Terminal. Stop in Toowoomba to purchase lunch. Our guide will step aboard the coach and guide us through the ins and outs of the Cattle industry including a live demonstration in the cattle yards and the working dogs doing their thing! The impressive buildings and architecture of Charters Towers stand testament to the wealth of the gold rush era. Enjoy a guided tour of Venus Gold Battery, which gives a fascinating insight into how the gold was extracted from the ore before some free time to explore the town. <p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 4 CHARTERS TOWERS – MT SURPRISE</strong></span> <span style="color: #339966;">BLD</span><br />Sunday, 8th August: Start our day with a drive to Tower Hill Lookout for a magnificent view of Charters Towers and surrounds followed by some free time in town to explore and purchase your morning tea. Mid-morning rejoin your coach and continue our journey north to Greenvale where we stop for a picnic lunch. Pass through the Lynd Junction to arrive at our accommodation. <p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 5 UNDARA LAVA TUBES</strong> </span><span style="color: #339966;">BLD</span><br />Monday, 9th August: This morning enjoy a half-day guided tour of the spectacular Undara Lava Tubes. The lava tubes were created about 190,000 years ago when a staggering 23 cubic kilometres of lava flowed into a riverbed and kept flowing for 160km, making it the world’s longest lava flow from a single volcano. After lunch, farewell our hosts and make our way to Millstream Falls, reputedly Australia’s widest single-drop waterfall. The falls flow over the edge of a columnar basalt lava flow, a legacy of the Atherton Tableland’s volcanic past, then on to Mareeba. Stay Jackaroo Motel.</p>
<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 6 MAREEBA – CAIRNS</strong></span><span style="color: #339966;"> BD</span><br />Tuesday, 10th August: This morning visit the Mareeba Heritage Museum &amp; Visitors Centre with its extensive aboriginal cultural display. There are also displays in mining, forestry, tobacco, agriculture and the Wet Tropics. Next, make our way to Mareeba Coffee Works for some free time and lunch (own expense). Enjoy, in unlimited quantities, as much coffee, tea, chocolate and liqueur as you can possibly consume! And explore the world’s largest and most significant collection of coffee and tea treasures, dating back as far as the early 1700’s. On to the Golden Drop Winery for a unique experience of visiting a working mango plantation, and to sample the lovely refreshing tropical Mango Wines, together with Citrus Cellos, Mango Port, and Golden Mango liqueur style wine. <p><strong><span style="color: #800080;">DAY 8 JEWELS OF THE ATHERTON TABLELANDS</span></strong> <span style="color: #339966;">BMD</span><br />Thursday, 12th August: After a hearty breakfast, depart Cairns and travel south following the Bruce Highway passing the Bellenden Ker NP and Mt Bartle Frere – Queensland’s highest mountain to Mena’s Creek and fascinating Paronella Park, an unusual blend of rainforest gardens and historic structures created in the 1930s by Jose Paronella. Next, take a walk in the clouds at the Mamu Tropical Skywalk. The Skywalk passes through one of the largest remaining continuous stands of complex vine forest on basalt soils in the Wet Tropics. Enjoy close-up views of rainforest plants, insects and birds, and take in sweeping vistas of World Heritage rainforest landscapes. After some free time in Innisfail to explore and purchase your lunch, our final destination for the day is the Australian Platypus Park where we enjoy a guided platypus tour before returning to Cairns.</p>
<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 9 KURANDA SIGHTSEEING</strong></span><span style="color: #339966;"> BD</span><br />Friday, 13th August: A short journey this morning to the Freshwater Railway Station to board the famous Kuranda train. An amazing journey awaits as you travel one of the World’s most scenic rail routes through hand-hewn tunnels and over bridges spanning spectacular gorges. View Barron Falls before arriving at beautiful Kuranda village. Time to explore the delights of the quaint village and buy your lunch before boarding the Skyrail to glide silently above the rainforest canopy.</p>
<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 10 CHILLAGOE CAVES</strong></span> <span style="color: #339966;">BMLD</span><br />Saturday, 14th August: Make our way to Chillagoe this morning for a guided tour of the Chillagoe Caves. The Chillagoe-Mungana Limestone Caves are Australia’s oldest cave system (possibly 400 million years). After lunch, return to Cairns.</p>
<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 11 BABINDA BOULDERS &amp; WATERFALLS</strong> </span><span style="color: #339966;">BMLD</span><br />Sunday, 15th August: A memorable day ahead as we discover the delights of the tropical rainforest. Our first stop is the pristine Babinda Boulders. This rainforest icon features vibrant jade pools and tumbling rocks cascading from the foothills of the Bellenden Ker Range and is one of the most beautiful swimming holes near Cairns. Next, visit Josephine Falls, a tiered cascade waterfall with natural rockslides. Travel to Millaa Millaa for lunch followed by a visit to Millaa Millaa Falls. Finish our day with a visit to Gallo Dairyland before returning to Cairns.</p>
<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 12 GREEN ISLAND CRUISE</strong> </span><span style="color: #339966;">BMLD</span><br />Monday, 16th August: All aboard for a cruise to Green Island which is a Marine National Park. This beautiful coral cay on Australia’s Great Barrier Reef boasts unique rainforests, surrounded by white sandy beaches and magnificent coral reefs and abundant marine life. While on the island enjoy a glass-bottom boat ride over the reef and choose from a range of optional activities.</p>
<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 13 TJAPUKAI INDIGENOUS PARK &amp; CRYSTAL CASCADES</strong></span> <span style="color: #339966;">BD</span><br />Tuesday, 17th August: This morning, explore the rich history of the world’s oldest living culture at Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park. Choose from a range of activities throughout the morning. After lunch (own expense), travel to Lambs Range to visit the secluded Crystal Cascades, one of the secrets of the Tropical North.</p>

<p><strong><span style="color: #800080;">DAY 17 DAINTREE SIGHTSEEING</span></strong> <span style="color: #339966;">BMD</span><br />Saturday, 21st August: Head for Daintree this morning for our Daintree Discovery Cruise. Then, off to Mossman Gorge for lunch (own expense) and a Dreamtime Gorge Walk. Be welcomed with a traditional ‘smoking’ ceremony then meander through stunning rainforest and take in traditional huts or humpies. Your experienced interpretive Indigenous guide demonstrates traditional plant use, identify bush food sources, and provide an enchanting narrative of the rainforest and their special relationship with this unique tropical environment. Your guide demonstrates traditions like making bush soaps and ochre painting. At the end of the tour enjoy traditional bush tea and damper. Farewelling our guide, it’s off to Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures and choose from a range of activities before returning to our motel.</p>
<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 18 WAVEDANCER LOW ISLES CRUISE</strong> </span><span style="color: #339966;">BMLAD</span><br />Sunday, 22nd August: Imagine sailing on to the Great Barrier Reef Island of your dreams, lying under a palm umbrella, then slipping into the water to drift over coral gardens. From the moment Wavedancer moors in the calm waters of the island’s picturesque lagoon, a host of reef activities await. Discover the mysteries of marine life while snorkelling or glass-bottom boat viewing. Take a guided beach walk and snorkelling tour with a marine biologist or just relax on the beach under a thatched umbrella or on the decks of Wavedancer. After a wonderful day return to Port Douglas.</p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #800080;">DAY 19 PORT DOUGLAS – COOKTOWN</span></strong> <span style="color: #339966;">BLD</span><br />Monday, 23rd August: Depart Port Douglas and make our way to Palmer River Roadhouse for morning tea (own expense) before continuing our journey to Cooktown. On arrival, enjoy lunch at Nature’s Powerhouse at Cooktown Botanic Gardens. Following lunch, visit the James Cook Museum followed by some free time to stroll along the town streets viewing the old stone buildings which date back almost a century to when it was the port for the Palmer Goldfield. <p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 20 COOKTOWN – CAIRNS</strong></span> <span style="color: #339966;">BLD</span><br />Tuesday, 24th August: Retrace our steps this morning to Kuranda and experience the thrill of a rainforest tour in a WWII Army Duck at the Rainforestation Nature Park. After your army duck tour, take time to meander through the Tropical Fruits Orchard, which features over 40 different species of exotic tropical fruit trees. After a delicious lunch, visit the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary listed by the Guinness Book of Records as Australia’s largest butterfly flight aviary and exhibit. With over 1500 magnificent tropical butterflies, you’ll be enchanted by the aerial dynamics of these elusive wonders of nature as you wander through the aviary’s rainforest gardens. The Gardens are a tropical paradise, renowned as one of the best exhibitions of tropical plants in Australia. Explore the beauty of tropical plants, relax in stunning surroundings and learn about tropical flora and horticulture. Next, a visit to Birdworld Kuranda. Over 500 birds from around the globe and among these are 75 different species of the most spectacular birds, 56 of which are native, live in the safe enclosure, including vibrantly coloured parrots, inquisitive lorikeets, and the large elusive cassowary. Endangered Amazonian Macaws soar over the treetops of the rainforest canopy, with their dazzling blue, gold and scarlet colours. Get up close and personal with birds of all shapes and sizes. Don’t be surprised if a feathered friend or two nestle on your shoulders as you wander through the lush, tropically landscaped sanctuary.</p>
<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 25 FITZROY ISLAND</strong></span> <span style="color: #339966;">BLD</span><br />Sunday, 29th August: All aboard this morning for a 45 minute cruise to Fitzroy Island. Spend five hours exploring its many stunning natural offerings, take part in a range of optional activities on both land and water, choose one of the multiple walks around the National Park including a summit walk and a short 20 minute walk to Nudey Beach or simply relax in the lush tropical surrounds.</p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #800080;">DAY 26 CAIRNS – MISSION BEACH – TOWNSVILLE</span></strong> <span style="color: #339966;">BMLD</span><br />Monday, 30th August: Leaving Cairns, travel to the multi-award-winning Charley’s Chocolate Factory at Mission Beach. Enjoy a guided farm tour and excellent commentary on the story of chocolate. The high point of the tour is the chocolate tasting! After an excellent BBQ lunch, say farewell to our hosts and continue to Tully for a photo stop at the Big Gumboot, before arriving in Townsville. Two night stay Oakes Metropole Hotel.</p>
<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 27 MAGNETIC ISLAND</strong></span> <span style="color: #339966;">BD</span><br />Tuesday, 31st August: All aboard for transfer to Magnetic Island. On arrival sit back and admire the sights as we take a guided tour of the island. At Horseshoe Bay free time is allowed for you to purchase your lunch before the return journey to the mainland. This afternoon, experience the Great Barrier Reef without getting wet at the World’s largest living coral reef aquarium, Reef HQ.</p>
<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 28 TOWNSVILLE – AIRLIE BEACH</strong></span> <span style="color: #339966;">BMLD</span><br />Wednesday, 1st September: Our first stop this morning is to Ashworth’s Treasures of the Earth to view the interesting display of rocks and gemstones, then make our way to the Bowen Hotel for lunch followed by a visit to the Big Mango &amp; Bowen Visitors Centre. Time to try some delicious mango sorbet and view the public artwork displays around the grounds. Arriving in Airlie Beach take a walk on the Bicentennial Walkway around the lagoon and experience the great views. Two night say Colonial Palms Motor Inn.</p>
<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 29 WHITSUNDAY CRUISIN’</strong></span> <span style="color: #339966;">BLAD</span><br />Thursday, 2nd September: Our day begins with a short cruise to Daydream Island where you can take a dip in the pool or experience the Living Reef, a free-form coral lagoon that’s home to over 100 species of marine life. Continue on to Hamilton Island, a picturesque 30 minute cruise away. Explore famous Front Street, overlooking the luxury vessels in the marina or take a complimentary shuttle up to One Tree Hill Lookout for another stunning vista and a magnificent photo opportunity, then meet your guide for lunch at Marina Tavern. After lunch, depart Hamilton Island and head towards Whitsunday Island, the home of legendary Whitehaven Beach. Take a swim in the crystal-clear waters or take a short bushwalk – the choice is yours. Arrive back at Airlie Beach at 6:15pm.</p>

See how sugar is grown, processed, milled, and distilled and enjoy a tasting of the products produced at the Sugar Shed including liqueurs, schnapps and gourmet sauces. Continue our journey, pausing in Clairview for a delightful picnic lunch then on to Yeppoon. Two night stay Salt Beachfront Yeppoon.</p>

Enjoy a guided tour of this unique system of above ground caves in a limestone ridge. Then, board the Curtis Island Ferry for a Port of Gladstone Harbour Cruise before lunch at the Gladstone Hotel. Continue to the historic town of 1770 to settle into our accommodation. <p><strong><span style="color: #800080;">DAY 33 LARCING ABOUT 1770</span></strong> <span style="color: #339966;">BMLD</span><br />Monday, 6th September: You will love the full day tour on the fabulous LARC, a cross between a 4WD bus and a boat! The journey takes us across tidal creeks, along Eurimbula National Park to historic Bustard Head Light station for some of the most spectacular panoramic views in Australia.</p>

<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 5 UNDARA LAVA TUBES</strong></span> <span style="color: #339966;">BLD</span><br />Monday, 9th August: This morning enjoy a half day guided tour of the spectacular Undara Lava Tubes. The lava tubes were created about 190,000 years ago when a staggering 23 cubic kilometres of lava flowed into a riverbed and kept flowing for 160km, making it the world’s longest lava flow from a single volcano. After lunch, farewell our hosts and make our way to Millstream Falls, reputedly Australia’s widest single-drop waterfall. The falls flow over the edge of a columnar basalt lava flow, a legacy of the Atherton Tableland’s volcanic past, then on to Mareeba. Stay Jackaroo Motel.</p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #800080;">DAY 6 MAREEBA – CAIRNS</span></strong> B<span style="color: #339966;">D</span><br />Tuesday, 10th August: This morning visit the Mareeba Heritage Museum &amp; Visitors Centre with its extensive aboriginal cultural display. There are also displays in mining, forestry, tobacco, agriculture and the Wet Tropics. Next, make our way to Mareeba Coffee Works for some free time and lunch (own expense). Enjoy, in unlimited quantities, as much coffee, tea, chocolate and liqueur as you can possibly consume! And explore the world’s largest and most significant collection of coffee and tea treasures, dating back as far as the early 1700’s. On to the Golden Drop Winery for a unique experience of visiting a working mango plantation, and to sample the lovely refreshing tropical Mango Wines, together with Citrus Cellos, Mango Port, and Golden Mango liqueur style wine. <p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 8 JEWELS OF THE ATHERTON TABLELANDS</strong></span> <span style="color: #339966;">BMD</span><br />Thursday, 12th August: After a hearty breakfast, depart Cairns and travel south following the Bruce Highway passing the Bellenden Ker NP and Mt Bartle Frere – Queensland’s highest mountain to Mena’s Creek and fascinating Paronella Park, an unusual blend of rainforest gardens and historic structures created in the 1930’s by Jose Paronella. Next, take a walk in the clouds at the Mamu Tropical Skywalk. The Skywalk passes through one of the largest-remaining continuous stands of complex vine forest on basalt soils in the Wet Tropics. Enjoy close-up views of rainforest plants, insects and birds, and take in sweeping vistas of World Heritage rainforest landscapes. After some free time in Innisfail to explore and purchase your lunch, our final destination for the day is the Australian Platypus Park where we enjoy a guided platypus tour before returning to Cairns.</p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #800080;">DAY 9 KURANDA SIGHTSEEING</span></strong> <span style="color: #339966;">BD</span><br />Friday, 13th August: A short journey this morning to the Freshwater Railway Station to board the famous Kuranda train. An amazing journey awaits as you travel one of the World’s most scenic rail routes through hand-hewn tunnels and over bridges spanning spectacular gorges. View Barron Falls before arriving at beautiful Kuranda village. Time to explore the delights of the quaint village and buy your lunch before boarding the Skyrail to glide silently above the rainforest canopy.</p>
<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 10 CHILLAGOE CAVES</strong></span> <span style="color: #339966;">BMLD</span><br />Saturday, 14th August: Make our way to Chillagoe this morning for a guided tour of the Chillagoe Caves. The Chillagoe-Mungana Limestone Caves are Australia’s oldest cave system (possibly 400 million years). After lunch, return to Cairns.<br /><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 11 BABINDA BOULDERS &amp; WATERFALLS</strong></span> <span style="color: #339966;">BMLD</span><br />Sunday, 15th August: A memorable day ahead as we discover the delights of the tropical rainforest. Our first stop is the pristine Babinda Boulders. This rainforest icon features vibrant jade pools and tumbling rocks cascading from the foothills of the Bellenden Ker Range and is one of the most beautiful swimming holes near Cairns. Next, visit Josephine Falls, a tiered cascade waterfall with natural rockslides. Travel to Millaa Millaa for lunch followed by a visit to Millaa Millaa Falls. Finish our day with a visit to Gallo Dairyland before returning to Cairns.</p>

Then, off to Mossman Gorge for lunch (own expense) and a Dreamtime Gorge Walk. Be welcomed with a traditional ‘smoking’ ceremony then meander through stunning rainforest and take in traditional huts or humpies. Your experienced interpretive Indigenous guide demonstrates traditional plant use, identify bush food sources, and provide an enchanting narrative of the rainforest and their special relationship with this unique tropical environment. Your guide demonstrates traditions like making bush soaps and ochre painting. At the end of the tour enjoy traditional bush tea and damper. The Gardens are a tropical paradise, renowned as one of the best exhibitions of tropical plants in Australia. Explore the beauty of tropical plants, relax in stunning surroundings and learn about tropical flora and horticulture. Next, a visit to Birdworld Kuranda. Over 500 birds from around the globe and among these are 75 different species of the most spectacular birds, 56 of which are native, live in the safe enclosure, including vibrantly coloured parrots, inquisitive lorikeets, and the large elusive cassowary. Endangered Amazonian Macaws soar over the treetops of the rainforest canopy, with their dazzling blue, gold and scarlet colours. Get up close and personal with birds of all shapes and sizes. Don’t be surprised if a feathered friend or two nestle on your shoulders as you wander through the lush, tropically landscaped sanctuary.</span></p>

Spend five hours exploring its many stunning natural offerings, take part in a range of optional activities on both land and water, choose one of the multiple walks around the National Park including a summit walk and a short 20 minute walk to Nudey Beach or simply relax in the lush tropical surrounds. </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 5 CAIRNS – MISSION BEACH – TOWNSVILLE</strong></span><span style="color: #339966;"> BMLD</span><br />Monday, 30th August: Leaving Cairns, travel to the multi-award-winning Charley’s Chocolate Factory at Mission Beach. Enjoy a guided farm tour and excellent commentary on the story of chocolate. The high point of the tour is the chocolate tasting! On arrival sit back and admire the sights as we take a guided tour of the island. At Horseshoe Bay free time is allowed for you to purchase your lunch before the return journey to the mainland. This afternoon, experience the Great Barrier Reef without getting wet at the World’s largest living coral reef aquarium, Reef HQ.</span></p>

Time to try some delicious mango sorbet and view the public artwork displays around the grounds. Arriving in Airlie Beach take a walk on the Bicentennial Walkway around the lagoon and experience the great views. Two night say Colonial Palms Motor Inn.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 8 WHITSUNDAY CRUISIN’</strong></span> <span style="color: #339966;">BLAD</span><br />Thursday, 2nd September: Our day begins with a short cruise to Daydream Island where you can take a dip in the pool or experience the Living Reef, a free-form coral lagoon that’s home to over 100 species of marine life. Continue on to Hamilton Island, a picturesque 30 minute cruise away. Explore famous Front Street, overlooking the luxury vessels in the marina or take a complimentary shuttle up to One Tree Hill Lookout for another stunning vista and a magnificent photo opportunity, then meet your guide for lunch at Marina Tavern. After lunch, depart Hamilton Island and head towards Whitsunday Island, the home of legendary Whitehaven Beach. Take a swim in the crystal-clear waters or take a short bushwalk – the choice is yours. The sculptures are created from recycled and natural materials and are displayed in Pioneer Park by the Tumut River. The magnificent trees and beautiful Lagoon provide a serene backdrop for the works of art. Lanterns are released onto the Lagoon just prior to dusk and become a spectacular display of light and reflection. In Canberra, be enticed by Floriade’s impressive garden displays added to many other ACT highlights including Tulip Top Gardens, Cockington Green Miniature Gardens, Parliament House and the Australian War Memorial. Heading north visit Bowral’s Tulip Time Festival. Other highlights include: Tumut Broom Factory, Pretty Parrot Distillery, Australian Reptile Park, Ricardoes Tomatoes &amp; Strawberries, Butterfly House and the Clog Barn. After a delicious morning tea supplied by your coach crew, take a wander through town to view the amazing murals then continue on to Young for lunch. After lunch, visit the Tumut Broom Factory where brooms are still handmade from 100% millet and quality Tasmanian oak handles. Two night stay Tumut Valley Motel.</p>

After lunch, enjoy a tasting at the Pretty Parrot Distillery an award-winning distillery offering Australian and traditional botanical gins and liqueurs, followed by a visit to the Tumut Valley Information Centre. Mid-afternoon, the highlight of our stay, the Lanterns on the Lagoon and Sculptures in the Park Festival. The festival features a sculpture competition, the sculptures being created from recycled and natural materials, are displayed in Pioneer Park by the Tumut River, and the magnificent trees and beautiful lagoon provide a serene backdrop for the works of art. During the evening the sculptures are enhanced by solar lighting giving them another dimension. The massive springtime displays at Commonwealth Park provide an unrivalled spectacle of fragrance and colour. Next, ascend Black Mountain to the Telstra Tower for a 360˚ view of Canberra. Finish our day with a visit to the Australian War Memorial featuring many emotion-stirring displays and tributes. Time to watch the closing ceremony before settling into our accommodation. Enjoy the rare and unique experience of meeting a Bilby face to face and have the opportunity to pat a Bilby in the keeper’s arms while learning what is happening to save these Aussie Outback Battlers from extinction. To fully enjoy your stay in this pristine national park we recommend stout walking shoes, sunscreen, swimmers, water bottle and backpack. After this exhilarating experience stop for a traditional smoko followed by a classic Australian movie in retro cinema seats and a hilarious hour of entertainment featuring animals, stockmen and improvised live theatre at the Harry Redford Old Time Tent Show. Following a ‘Billy Can’ lunch, we farewell our hosts and make our way to Longway Station for a tour and home-cooked afternoon tea. Return to our motel.</p>

Late afternoon board the ‘Thomson River Belle’ for a sunset cruise followed by a Drover’s stew and dessert at the ‘Sheraton on the Thomson’. Step back in time as you relive the romance of rail on beautifully restored railway carriages, and step into the thick of it on a behind the scenes tour of the workshops. Depart Ipswich and continue via the townships of Rosewood and Walloon, original stopover points along the Cobb and Co railway mail route. Arriving in Grandchester, visit the GRANDCHESTER RAILWAY STATION, built in 1865 and the oldest surviving station in Queensland. Next stop is Laidley for lunch and a browse through historic Das Neumann Haus. Continue on via Forest Hill to Gatton, one of the major towns along the route. It was originally a major changeover point for horses on the mail route between Brisbane and the Darling Downs. The tour gives you a fantastic snapshot of dairy farming through the generations…from the horse and cart days when cows were milked by hand through Box Bales; machine milking with the introduction of electricity in 1949; introduction of a 6 a side Herringbone in 1972, the 50 platform Rotary and milking 360 cows in 1991; to the current LELY robotic milking system. You’ll be fascinated by the robotic milking system – and you’ll love seeing how the cows take to it so easily. <p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 1 HERVEY BAY – ARMIDALE</strong></span><span style="color: #339966;"> D</span><br />Tuesday, 2nd November: With Wide Bay passengers on board make our way to Brisbane picking up passengers enroute. Interstate, Brisbane and Gold Coast passengers join in Brisbane City (location to be advised). Travel through the beautiful Scenic Rim over Cunningham’s Gap to Warwick where we pause for lunch. Continue south along the New England Highway to the Celtic-flavour of Glen Innes. Here we stop to explore the Australian Standing Stones, a national monument to Celtic people, past and present. At Armidale settle into our overnight accommodation. Stay All Seasons Motel Armidale.</p>
<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 2 ARMIDALE – DUBBO</strong></span> <span style="color: #339966;">BMD</span><br />Wednesday, 3rd November: Our first stop today is at Chaffey Dam, unique for its distinctive brick-red rock wall made of semi-precious stone and its unusual morning glory spillway. This type of spillway is basically a giant cement funnel. Rather than spilling over the dam, high waters spill into the funnel. On to the quaint and pretty village of Nundle surrounded by undulating hills, beautiful trees and parks. At the Nundle Woollen Mill enjoy a fascinating tour of one of the last spinning mills still operating in Australia. Free time is allowed in Nundle for you to purchase lunch and explore this delightful village. Continue to Dubbo. Stay Golden West Motor Inn.</p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #800080;">DAY 3 DUBBO – GUNDAGAI</span></strong><span style="color: #339966;"> BMLD</span><br />Thursday, 4th November: Continue south along the Newell Highway to Forbes for morning tea, then onto Young for lunch at Poppa’s Fudge and Jam Factory. For the sweet-toothed there is a huge range of delicate chocolates and tempting lollies as well as their well-known freshly made fudge. At Cootamundra, the birthplace of Sir Donald Bradman, take a walk along the Captain&#8217;s Walk featuring 42 bronze sculptures of Australian Test Cricket Captains, including Unaarrimim, the leading Aboriginal player in the first Australian cricket team to tour England. After a photo stop at Bradman’s Cottage, continue to Gundagai where we stop at the ‘Dog on the Tuckerbox’. Next, a visit to Rusconi’s Marble Masterpiece. Taking 28 years to build, the masterpiece was started in 1910 and finished in 1938. It is made entirely of NSW marble, in all, 20 different kinds. The masterpiece is a magnificent example of meticulous accuracy. We take a moment to visit the Dad, Dave, Mum &amp; Mable statues before arriving at our motel. Stay Comfort Inn Sovereign.</p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #800080;">DAY 4 GUNDAGAI – ALBURY</span></strong> <span style="color: #339966;">BMLD</span><br />Friday, 5th November: Farewelling Gundagai, we’re off to Wodonga for a delicious morning tea provided by your crew before arriving in Yarrawonga to board the MV Paradise Queen for a delightful lunch cruise on Lake Mulwala. Reboarding your coach, enjoy a scenic drive through Collendina and Gooramadda to Albury. Four night stay Quality Resort Siesta.</p>
<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 5 HIGH COUNTRY TOURING</strong></span> <span style="color: #339966;">BMLD</span><br />Saturday, 6th November: Travel along the Murray arm of the Hume Weir to the small township of Granya for morning tea at the Granya Pioneer Museum. Time to explore the exhibits, featuring the history of the Bungil and Thologolong Stations and the birthplace of the Murray Grey cattle. On to the township of Tintaldra, nestled beneath the Snowy Mountains on the Victorian banks of the Murray River. The historic Tintaldra Store and Tea Rooms is a top spot to enjoy lunch. Built of natural materials available in the area at the time (such as River Red Gum and Stringy Bark) the store is a living history taking visitors back in time. Dinkum Aussie tucker is served on enamel plates in the licensed dining room where you will be entertained with Bush Poetry and Bush Music. On to Corryong to visit the Man from Snowy River Museum. Next, travel west along the Murray Valley Highway stopping at the Lawrence Alpine Lookout for a spectacular view of the Snowy Mountains before returning to base in Albury after a wonderful day in the High Country.</p>
<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 6 GOLDFIELDS EXPLORING</strong></span><span style="color: #339966;"> BD</span><br />Sunday, 7th November: Today, discover quaint old towns and learn a little goldfields history. Tour to the National Trust town of Yackandandah, surely one of the prettiest towns in Victoria. Visit the Schmidt’s Strawberry Winery set amidst acres of lush strawberry fields, this winery is unique in Australia. Taste the strawberry wines and perhaps purchase some delicious fresh strawberries. A little further on we reach the old goldfields town of Beechworth. Visit the Beechworth Gaol for a guided tour before some free time to purchase lunch. After lunch, visit the Beechworth Historic Precinct which includes the old Courthouse where we participate in a re-enactment of Ned Kelly’s trial, the Burke Museum, Powder Magazine and the Telegraph Station. After a full day of exploring return to our accommodation.</p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #800080;">DAY 7 KIEWA VALLEY &amp; MILAWA GOURMET DISTRICT</span></strong> <span style="color: #339966;">BLD</span><br />Monday, 8th November: Capture some of the magic of the Kiewa Valley during our pleasant morning tour through Dederang and Tawonga. Time for a quick stop at the township of Mt Beauty, then up and over the mountain pass. Time to admire the view from Mt Bogong Lookout before our descent into Bright. Free time in the main street to purchase morning tea and explore. Reboarding the coach head along the Great Alpine Road to Eurobin for lunch at the Red Stag Deer Farm. This afternoon we look forward to sampling some gourmet delights as we head to Milawa. Our first stop is to Brown Brothers Winery for a leisurely tasting of their range of wines, then on to Milawa Mustard to sample their finest mustards and condiments. Finish our day with a visit to Milawa Cheese Factory for a cheese tasting before returning to Albury.</p>
<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 8 ALBURY – MELBOURNE</strong></span> <span style="color: #339966;">BMD</span><br />Tuesday, 9th November: Farewelling Albury, follow the Hume Highway to Glenrowan where we visit the Glenrowan Railway Station, a key site in the infamous Last Stand of the Kelly Gang. Enjoy morning tea at the Benalla Rose Garden followed by a sightseeing drive to view the amazing wall art. Continue to Seymour for lunch (own expense), arriving in Melbourne mid-afternoon. <p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 9 YARRA RIVER CRUISE</strong></span> <span style="color: #339966;">BMLD</span><br />Wednesday, 10th November: Enjoy some free time this morning at Queen Victoria Markets before heading to Docklands to board the world’s first floating tram for a delightful lunch cruise on the Yarra River. On return, reboard our coach for a visit to the Royal Botanic Gardens and the Shrine of Remembrance. The Royal Botanic Gardens are one of Melbourne’s most glorious attractions. Sprawling beside the Yarra River, the beautifully designed gardens feature a global selection of plantings and specifically endemic Australian flora. Within the gardens is the Shrine of Remembrance, a memorial to the sacrifice of our servicemen and women.</p>

This morning we visit Australia’s most iconic TV location, Ramsay Street and the studio backlot. Enjoy a behind the scenes guided tour around exterior sets at the studios. Our professional guides will provide you with plenty of gossip, laughs and on-board entertainment. Finish our day with a visit to the National Gallery of Victoria, Australia’s oldest, largest and most visited art museum. After an enjoyable and entertaining day, return to our accommodation.</p>
<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 13 MELBOURNE SIGHTSEEING</strong></span><span style="color: #339966;"> BLD</span><br />Sunday, 14th November: After a leisurely breakfast, we make our way to Belgrave Station to board the historic Puffing Billy Train. The journey takes us through the magnificent Dandenong Ranges. With lush fern gullies brushing past and Mountain Ash trees towering overhead, Puffing Billy makes for a wonderful opportunity to relax and breathe in the fresh air whilst the train makes its way through the temperate rainforest. Disembark at Lakeside Station, then make our way to Olinda, in the heart of the Dandenong Ranges, to enjoy a delicious German smorgasbord lunch at the Bavarian styled Cuckoo Restaurant. With the staff dressed in traditional Bavarian costume and live entertainment, music and a floor show, cowbell rings &amp; some pretty fancy yodelling, it’s sure to be a fun-filled visit. Next, make the short journey to the National Rhododendron Gardens with its unparalleled variety of brilliantly coloured blooms, mainly rhododendrons, azaleas, camellias, cherries and daffodils. After a thoroughly delightful day return to our accommodation.</p>
<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 14 MELBOURNE – GEELONG</strong></span> <span style="color: #339966;">BMLD</span><br />Monday, 15th November: Begin our day with a visit to Living Legends, home to some of Australia’s finest retired champion racehorses. Meet and mingle with turf racing champions down in their paddocks. Just some of the equine royalty in residence are Rogan Josh, Silent Witness, Apache Cat, Paris Lane, Fields of Omagh (Foo) and Might and Power. Reluctantly, we say farewell to our equine friends and make our way to Werribee Open Range Zoo. After lunch, board the safari bus and be transported through arid landscapes and savannah grasslands to explore the open plains and learn about some of the world’s most endangered species. Sit back and immerse yourself in the wonder of wildlife. Make our way to our accommodation for a well-earned rest before dinner. Stay Novotel Geelong.</p>
<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 15 GEELONG – COWES</strong></span> <span style="color: #339966;">BLD</span><br />Tuesday, 16th November: Travel to Queenscliff this morning to board the Searoad Ferry to Sorrento on the Mornington Peninsula. Sit back and relax on the 40-minute journey across Port Phillip Bay. A café is onboard for your enjoyment. After disembarking, we make our way to historic Churchill Island for lunch and a guided tour of the Heritage Farm, before we embark on a virtual journey to the world’s most extreme continent at the exciting new Antarctic Journey at the Nobbies. Stroll along the Nobbies Boardwalk and enjoy spectacular views along Phillip Island’s rugged south coast. See the awesome blowhole, a spectacular sea cave that thunders during big southern swells. Enjoy the sea bird gardens offering spectacular flowering displays in the spring. Silver Gulls nest here, and chicks can be seen during spring and early summer. Little Penguins are often seen here resting between seasonal and daily duties. Make our way to our accommodation to rest and prepare for tonight’s visit to Penguin Parade. <p><strong><span style="color: #800080;">DAY 16 COWES – LAKES ENTRANCE</span></strong> <span style="color: #339966;">BMLD</span><br />Wednesday, 17th November: Take a sightseeing tour of Phillip Island this morning as we make our way to Panny’s Amazing World of Chocolate. See the chocolatiers at work as they hand-make delicious chocolate varieties. See the statue of David (made from chocolate), the mural of Dame Edna consisting of 12,000 chocolate pieces, a chocolate waterfall made of 400 litres of chocolate and the chocolate village where even the buildings are made of chocolate. Continue our journey north to Moe for lunch and free time at Old Gippstown before arriving in Lakes Entrance mid-afternoon to settle into our accommodation. Two night stay Bellevue on the Lakes.</p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #800080;">DAY 17 GIPPSLAND LAKES CRUISE</span></strong> <span style="color: #339966;">BLD</span><br />Thursday, 18th November: A little sightseeing tour is in order this morning before boarding the ML Stormbird for a four-hour cruise into Lake King, then around the shores of Metung for lunch at the Metung Hotel. Enjoy some free time in Metung before the return journey to Lakes Entrance.</p>

Mid-afternoon arrive at Kiama’s famous Blowhole. The blowhole is the largest in the world and is an awesome natural spectacle. The powerful display is dependent on southeast ocean swells and waves entering the rocky cavern. Next, visit the Wollongong Head Lighthouse before arriving at our motel. Interstate, Brisbane and Gold Coast passengers join in Brisbane City (location to be advised). Travel through the beautiful Scenic Rim over Cunningham’s Gap to Warwick where we pause for lunch. Continue south along the New England Highway to the Celtic-flavour of Glen Innes. Here we stop to explore the Australian Standing Stones, a national monument to Celtic people, past and present. At Armidale settle into our overnight accommodation. Stay All Seasons Motel Armidale.</p>
<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 2 ARMIDALE – DUBBO</strong> </span><span style="color: #339966;">BMD</span><br />Wednesday, 3rd November: Our first stop today is at Chaffey Dam, unique for its distinctive brick-red rock wall made of semi-precious stone and its unusual morning glory spillway. This type of spillway is basically a giant cement funnel. Rather than spilling over the dam, high waters spill into the funnel. On to the quaint and pretty village of Nundle surrounded by undulating hills, beautiful trees and parks. At the Nundle Woollen Mill enjoy a fascinating tour of one of the last spinning mills still operating in Australia. Free time is allowed in Nundle for you to purchase lunch and explore this delightful village. Continue to Dubbo. Stay Golden West Motor Inn.</p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #800080;">DAY 3 DUBBO – GUNDAGAI</span></strong> <span style="color: #339966;">BMLD</span><br />Thursday, 4th November: Continue south along the Newell Highway to Forbes for morning tea, then onto Young for lunch at Poppa’s Fudge and Jam Factory. For the sweet-toothed there is a huge range of delicate chocolates and tempting lollies as well as their well-known freshly made fudge. At Cootamundra, the birthplace of Sir Donald Bradman, take a walk along the Captain&#8217;s Walk featuring 42 bronze sculptures of Australian Test Cricket Captains, including Unaarrimim, the leading Aboriginal player in the first Australian cricket team to tour England. After a photo stop at Bradman’s Cottage, continue to Gundagai where we stop at the ‘Dog on the Tuckerbox’. Next, a visit to Rusconi’s Marble Masterpiece. Taking 28 years to build, the masterpiece was started in 1910 and finished in 1938. It is made entirely of NSW marble, in all, 20 different kinds. <p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 5 HIGH COUNTRY TOURING</strong> </span><span style="color: #339966;">BMLD</span><br />Saturday, 6th November: Travel along the Murray arm of the Hume Weir to the small township of Granya for morning tea at the Granya Pioneer Museum. Time to explore the exhibits, featuring the history of the Bungil and Thologolong Stations and the birthplace of the Murray Grey cattle. On to the township of Tintaldra, nestled beneath the Snowy Mountains on the Victorian banks of the Murray River. The historic Tintaldra Store and Tea Rooms is a top spot to enjoy lunch. Built of natural materials available in the area at the time (such as River Red Gum and Stringy Bark) the store is a living history taking visitors back in time. Dinkum Aussie tucker is served on enamel plates in the licensed dining room where you will be entertained with Bush Poetry and Bush Music. On to Corryong to visit the Man from Snowy River Museum. Next, travel west along the Murray Valley Highway stopping at the Lawrence Alpine Lookout for a spectacular view of the Snowy Mountains before returning to base in Albury after a wonderful day in the High Country.</p>
<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 6 GOLDFIELDS EXPLORING</strong></span> <span style="color: #339966;">BD</span><br />Sunday, 7th November: Today, discover quaint old towns and learn a little goldfields history. Tour to the National Trust town of Yackandandah, surely one of the prettiest towns in Victoria. Visit the Schmidt’s Strawberry Winery set amidst acres of lush strawberry fields, this winery is unique in Australia. Taste the strawberry wines and perhaps purchase some delicious fresh strawberries. A little further on we reach the old goldfields town of Beechworth. Visit the Beechworth Gaol for a guided tour before some free time to purchase lunch. After lunch, visit the Beechworth Historic Precinct which includes the old Courthouse where we participate in a re-enactment of Ned Kelly’s trial, the Burke Museum, Powder Magazine and the Telegraph Station. After a full day of exploring return to our accommodation.</p>
<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 7 KIEWA VALLEY &amp; MILAWA GOURMET DISTRICT</strong></span> <span style="color: #339966;">BLD</span><br />Monday, 8th November: Capture some of the magic of the Kiewa Valley during our pleasant morning tour through Dederang and Tawonga. Time for a quick stop at the township of Mt Beauty, then up and over the mountain pass. Time to admire the view from Mt Bogong Lookout before our descent into Bright. Free time in the main street to purchase morning tea and explore. Reboarding the coach head along the Great Alpine Road to Eurobin for lunch at the Red Stag Deer Farm. This afternoon we look forward to sampling some gourmet delights as we head to Milawa. Our first stop is to Brown Brothers Winery for a leisurely tasting of their range of wines, then on to Milawa Mustard to sample their finest mustards and condiments. Finish our day with a visit to Milawa Cheese Factory for a cheese tasting before returning to Albury.</p>

Sprawling beside the Yarra River, the beautifully designed gardens feature a global selection of plantings and specifically endemic Australian flora. The journey takes us through the magnificent Dandenong Ranges. With lush fern gullies brushing past and Mountain Ash trees towering overhead, Puffing Billy makes for a wonderful opportunity to relax and breathe in the fresh air whilst the train makes its way through the temperate rainforest. Disembark at Lakeside Station, then make our way to Olinda, in the heart of the Dandenong Ranges, to enjoy a delicious German smorgasbord lunch at the Bavarian styled Cuckoo Restaurant. With the staff dressed in traditional Bavarian costume and live entertainment, music and a floor show, cowbell rings &amp; some pretty fancy yodelling, it’s sure to be a fun-filled visit. Reluctantly, we say farewell to our equine friends and make our way to Werribee Open Range Zoo. After lunch, board the safari bus and be transported through arid landscapes and savannah grasslands to explore the open plains and learn about some of the world’s most endangered species. Sit back and relax on the 40-minute journey across Port Phillip Bay. A café is onboard for your enjoyment. After disembarking, we make our way to historic Churchill Island for lunch and a guided tour of the Heritage Farm, before we embark on a virtual journey to the world’s most extreme continent at the exciting new Antarctic Journey at the Nobbies. Stroll along the Nobbies Boardwalk and enjoy spectacular views along Phillip Island’s rugged south coast. See the awesome blowhole, a spectacular sea cave that thunders during big southern swells. Enjoy the sea bird gardens offering spectacular flowering displays in the spring. Silver Gulls nest here, and chicks can be seen during spring and early summer. See the chocolatiers at work as they hand-make delicious chocolate varieties. See the statue of David (made from chocolate), the mural of Dame Edna consisting of 12,000 chocolate pieces, a chocolate waterfall made of 400 litres of chocolate and the chocolate village where even the buildings are made of chocolate. Continue our journey north to Moe for lunch and free time at Old Gippstown before arriving in Lakes Entrance mid-afternoon to settle into our accommodation. Two night stay Bellevue on the Lakes.</p>

All the action is centered around the start of the SYDNEY TO HOBART YACHT RACE, one of the world’s greatest sailing events. Take a walk around Darling Harbour to purchase morning tea and perhaps catch a few Boxing Day bargains, before boarding the ALL OCCASION CRUISES vessel for a spectacular day on Sydney Harbour. Enjoy a delicious buffet lunch on board, taking in the fantastic views of the yachts as they jockey for position prior to the starter’s gun.</p>
<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>DAY 5 SYDNEY &#8211; ARMIDALE</strong></span> <span style="color: #339966;">BMLD</span><br />Monday, 27th December: With Sydney’s festivities behind you, it is time to bid the Harbour City farewell and travel north through the picturesque Hunter Valley.
