How are we keeping you safe onboard?
Down Under Coach Tours is a Covid Safe Travel Company. We have a government approved Covid Safe Travel Plan in place for all tours.
- All staff have completed mandatory Covid training that meets both State and Federal Government recommendations.
- Cleaning and disinfecting of vehicles is conducted in accordance with guidelines from Safe Work Australia and public health authorities.
- Face masks and alcohol-based hand sanitisers are provided and are available on board vehicles along with accommodation and on request.
- Physical distancing measures will be in place wherever practical. In circumstances where physical distancing is not possible, the highest level of cleaning, hygiene and personal protection options are implemented.
Your health is important to us
Your health and that of our crew is very important to us. All guests must fill in our newly developed Covid Self Declaration Form prior to travel. This form will be posted out with your travel documents and must be completed 72 hours prior to travel. Guests will not be permitted to travel should they have any symptoms or answer ‘YES’ to any of the questions outlined in the Declaration. Please contact us as soon as possible should you be unable to travel.
Covid Refund Policy
If Covid -19 restricts operation of a tour, funds paid can be held for future holiday credit or you may request a refund less any irretrievable costs such as, but not limited to, airfares or third-party operator fees/charges. We do not charge an administration fee under these circumstances.
What if I feel sick while on tour?
Report immediately to your Tour Leader, Tour Driver, or accommodation staff if you become unwell on tour.
You will be isolated from other passengers and provided a face mask to wear. We will require some health information from you to complete a Medical Incident Report and consult with the COVID 19 Helpline. We will keep you informed as we progress, but you must remain isolated as we are guided by health authorities. Your health and safety, plus the wellbeing of other passengers and staff are paramount.
What if someone is diagnosed with Covid 19 while on tour?
If you or another passenger is diagnosed with Covid 19 and you, another passenger, or the entire tour group is required to stay in quarantine, the cost of additional accommodation is at passenger’s own expense.
We closely monitor all Government advice and regulations to ensure the protection of our passengers, team and community. Tours will be cancelled if management feels it is unsafe to proceed or suspect a lockdown is imminent.
In the unfortunate event that a local area or state in which we travel is required to go into lockdown while the tour is in progress, additional accommodation is at your own expense. We therefore strongly advise taking out travel insurance which includes Covid cover.
