DAY 1 - HOME to GRAFTON     (D)

Monday 24th November 2025:  Welcome to our spectacular six day Hunter Valley Christmas Lights tour. After completing our morning pickups, sit back and enjoy the coastal drive south. Before arriving into Grafton, stop by MacLean, known as “the Scottish Town”. Coming into the town stop at MacLean Lookout for spectacular views of the coast, bushland, cane fields, river, islands and township. We will also have time to browse the Ferry Park Gallery, which showcases many local works before continuing to Grafton for our first night on tour. After checking into our motel, make our way to the Crown Hotel Motel for dinner.

DAY 2 - GRAFTON to HUNTER VALLEY     (BLD)

Tuesday 25th November:   Before departing Grafton, enjoy our breakfast at Vines at 139, then continue our travels down the Pacific Highway. Pass through Coffs Harbour and Nambucca Heads to reach the coastal town of Laurieton where we stop for lunch at Laurieton United Services Club. Following lunch, express through to Maitland to our accommodation.

DAY 3 - HUNTER VALLEY CHRISTMAS LIGHTS     (BLD)

Wednesday 26th November:   Today discover the sensational sights, colours, and fragrances of the stunning Hunter Valley Gardens. Explore over 25 hectares of spectacular flowers, trees, and shrubs. Take in the views from the lookout, rest above the waterfall in the Sunken Garden or step back in time with your favourite characters in the Storybook Garden. Enjoy a lovely lunch served at the Garden Terrace Restaurant before a visit to the Hunter Valley Cheese Company to taste some delightful samples. Of course, no visit to the Hunter Valley would be complete without a wine tasting, which we enjoy at McGuigan’s. Enjoy dinner at Harrigan’s Irish Pub before our evening out at the magical Christmas Lights Spectacular. Wind your way through the remarkable displays including a White Christmas scene complete with snow cave and white topped trees or stroll through the sparkling Christmas bauble. The lights spectacular is bound to capture the spirit of Christmas!

DAY 4 - UPPER HUNTER REGION    (BLD)

Thursday 27th November: Our sightseeing today takes us to the Upper Hunter region where we meet our wonderful local guide. Our first stop, Darley Stud is a magnificent operation with animals and scenery that will be remembered. Darley (Woodlands) is owned by Sheik Mohammed from Dubai, the largest breeder of thoroughbreds in the world. Stop for lunch in Denman, before visiting some local enterprises and a delightful wine tasting.

DAY 5 - HUNTER VALLEY to ARMIDALE     (BLD)

Friday 28th November:  Today we make our way to Ashmar Farmstay, just outside of Gloucester for a unique visit. Set on a 500-acre Hereford Cattle stud farm with spectacular views across the property and beyond, it is the perfect place to enjoy lunch after a tour. Our afternoon drive takes us through Walcha, renowned for its natural beauty surrounded by national parks, and the New England town of Uralla, before arriving in Armidale for our final night on tour together.

DAY 6 - ARMIDALE to HOME     (B)

Saturday 29th November:  With our bags packed full of memories, we begin our journey back home. Stop for time to purchase lunch before arriving home from a wonderful holiday to the Hunter Valley.

Tuesday 23rd to Friday 26th December 2025 Escape, experience and connect as we journey deep into the forest at O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat - home to a vast array of unique flora and fauna and a nature lovers paradise! Day 1 – Our day begins heading south on the Down Under Christmas sleigh. Lunch will be at the O’Reilly’s Canungra Valley Vineyard before entering the Lamington National Park. World Heritage status was bestowed on Lamington in 1994 in recognition of its high biodiversity. It now includes 20,200 hectares of varying forest types, from temperate Antarctic Beech Forest high on the border ranges to sub-tropical rainforests and the dry Eucalypt Forest of the northern escarpment. On arrival settle into our accommodation and enjoy the O’Reilly’s hospitality and the stunning scenery surrounding us. (LD) Day 2 – You can do as little or as much as you like. There are a number of short nature walks you can do yourself including the famous Tree Top Walk. Other activities that are included in our package are the Early Morning Bird Walk, the Bird of Prey Show, a 4WD guided tour or the Glow Worm Tour. (BLD) Day 3 – Merry Christmas!!! Join in with the Christmas Day festivities. Or just enjoy doing nothing this morning and take it all in. Lunch today will be in the restaurant and a real feast will be served. (BLD) Day 4 – Sadly our tour is coming to an end. We commence our journey north homeward bound with lunch along the way. Arrive home this afternoon after a wonderful tour.
